SIWES - Electronics

The Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) in Electronics is a practical training program designed to give students hands-on experience in real industrial and workshop environments. It helps students apply classroom knowledge to practical electronics tasks and operations.
During Electronics SIWES, students are exposed to electronic components, circuit construction, fault diagnosis, equipment repair, installation, and maintenance of electronic systems such as power supplies, home appliances, communication devices, and basic industrial equipment. Students also learn safety practices, proper use of tools, and professional work ethics.
The objective of Electronics SIWES is to develop practical competence, technical skills, and industry readiness, enabling students to perform effectively in electronics-related industries or pursue self-employment after graduation.

  • STUDENT WORKING TOOLS (Requirement)

    Soldering Iron and LED

Electric Soldering Iron and Soldering LED

A soldering iron is a hand tool used to heat solder, usually from an electrical supply at high temperatures above the melting point of the metal alloy. This allows for the solder to flow between the workpieces needing to be joined.

    Set of Screw Driver

Complete Set of Screw Driver and Allen Key

Screwdrivers are a type of hand tool used for the insertion and removal of screws. They are available in a multitude of variations to correspond to the correct screw drive. The drive or head of a screw has a shaped cavity and protrusion that fits the screwdriver tip.

    Multimeter

    Digital Multimeter

An instrument designed to measure electric current, voltage, and usually resistance, typically over several ranges of value.
